Bukit Lawang Tours – 5 Days (Orangutans-Rafflesia-Gibbon Watching)

We offer you in this package tour 2 days jungle trekking and tube rafting in Bukit lawang to see wild life in Gunung Leuser National Park and our icon is Orangutan which is only found in Sumatra and Borneo and commonly seen in this area and you can enjoyed your night experience in the jungle. Afterwards we visit another village named Batu Katak around 17 km from Bukit lawang and we will reach this place late afternoon by motor bike or car and stay a night in guest house in this place, next day we will start the activities in morning for Gibbon watching in private jungle or in the edge of National Park and return to guest house for lunch afterwards. After lunch we go to see Rafflesia ( biggest flower in the world ) if we lucky we can see the blooming flower in National Park. And tube down the river return to guest house. Remaining day at guest house.

Day 1

Pick up from airport or hotel in Medan journey 4 -5 hours to Bukit lawang relax remaining the day at hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast start 2 days jungle trekking leave at 9 am from hotel, before enter National Park guide will give you briefing about the regulation of National Park, spotting wild life and guide will explain to you about flora and fauna if we are lucky we can see such as Sumatran orangutan( pongo abelii ), Thomas leaf monkey, long tail macaque, pig tail macaque, white handed gibbon, great Argus phesant, or horn bill and other animals which is commonly seen in this area, our guide will follow your speed level and we make regularly break. Mid day guide will select place for lunch with fried rice and also we have some fruits with us, after lunch we continue trekking to the campsite, mid afternoon we will reach the camp site in the river bank. Enjoy the afternoon with hot tea and coffee or swimming in the river while waiting for dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast we go to the river for tube rafting to the village after while we go to Batu Katak village about 30 – 40 minute by motor bike and stay night in guest house.

Day 4

Start gibbon watching after breakfast at 9 am in private jungle in edge of National Park mid day return to guest house for lunch. After lunch we enter to National Park to see the biggest flower in the world RAFFLESIA if we lucky we can see the blooming flower afterwards we go down to the river and do tube rafting to guest house, remaining the day at the guest house.

Day 5

After breakfast we leave the village to Medan or airport we need 4 – 5 hours , we will according the time if you leave to airport and we have free time if you stay a night in hotel.

Jungle trekking in Bukit Lawang was awesome, I did see one of orangutan with local guide Seger nice man. Gunung Leuser NP is very admirable. And jungle trekking by riding an Elephant in Tangkahan was so great
