Points worth stating plainly, because they are the questions travellers ask most: orangutans are wild and no sighting can be guaranteed, though the odds are high on the longer treks; a licensed guide is required by the national park for every trek; trekking runs year-round, with April to October the drier and easier months; and the operator does not offer elephant riding or any feeding of wildlife.
